School is finally out, and we have had some warm days outside, so one thing is for sure … summer is finally here!
The month of May has been increasingly busy with getting the pool ready, helping our maintenance crew with taking care of the parks, still learning a lot of things, banners and of course, navigating such a large role.
The biggest project we’ve been tackling is the pool. At the beginning of the month we began the process of getting our pool up and running. The pool is finally clean, which means that filling the pool and getting a passing chemical test is a big focus these last few days of May!
You may have noticed a small part of our park’s maintenance crew has been hard at work getting the parks ready for the upcoming summer. They have been doing an amazing job of mowing, fixing things and so much more!
With summer coming into full swing, we are all thinking about how to navigate the coming activities. As of right now, we are still in need of a few coaches: one Babe Ruth coach, one Pee Wee coach and another softball coach! Coaches are paramount to the success of our teams, and the players' growth in the sport. If coaching is calling your name, stop by city hall or give me a call at (701) 302-8105! We are hoping to start with practices the first week of June, but of course it all depends on getting adequate coaching.
The last big thing that we have been working on is the banners at the ballparks. Make sure to keep an eye out for your banner this summer, and if you don’t see yours right away, don’t worry, they are on the way!
