Letter to the editor: One in the hand is better than two in the bush

Be sure to vote in the North Dakota Primary on June 11. On June 11, I will be voting for Senator Jerry Klein and Representatives Jon Nelson and Robin Weisz. I was privileged to be part of the Heart of America Medical Center board of directors with Jon Nelson and was also appointed to a statewide emergency medical services (EMS) committee with Robin Weisz. I have also worked alongside Jerry Klein for many years. These three current legislators have had an enormous impact on rural EMS and rural healthcare. They all have been recognized by the North Dakota State EMS Association for their efforts regarding and improving rural EMS at the legislature. Jon Nelson has worked tirelessly at the legislative level to improve the sustainability of rural healthcare facilities. Having been active at the legislative level, I have witnessed firsthand the enormous level of commitment, dedication and effort each one of these legislators puts forth during, and outside of, the legislative session. Jon and Robin are both third generation farmers in District 14 and Jerry Klein has been in the grocery business for four decades in District 14. Klein, Nelson and Weisz are responsible, experienced and conservative leaders working hard for rural North Dakota. When it comes to voting records, it is much like baseball … nobody bats 1,000 … The overall record of these legislators is excellent. Klein, Nelson and Weisz are approachable, responsible, experienced and conservative leaders working hard for District 14 and rural North Dakota. The old saying goes: One in the hand is better than two in the bush. We have one in the hand with Klein, Nelson and Weisz. Let’s re-elect them and keep one in the hand with the leadership and experience of Jerry, Jon and Robin! On June 11, join me in voting for Klein, Nelson and Weisz.

Respectfully,

Pat Tracy,
