Northern Plains Electric Cooperative is offering three $1,000 luck-of-the-draw scholarships to three dependents of Northern Plains Electric Cooperative members at their annual meeting.
The luck-of-the-draw scholarship program, which is in its fifth year, recognizes and encourages the academic achievements of students in the region. It also serves as an investment in the economic future of rural areas.
To qualify, the student must be a dependent of a Northern Plains Electric Cooperative member and a 2024 high school graduate planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited university or vocational/technical school in the fall of 2024. Students must be present to win and register using their guardian’s member account information.
The annual membership meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 11 in Cando at the North Star school gymnasium. Registration and meal will be from 5-6 p.m. with the business meeting starting at 6 p.m. All members are welcome.
