Farewell to fuel tanks

Heavy equipment and a gaping hole were quite the sight to see along Hwy. 281 Tuesday, as Hager Excavating removed the underground fuel tanks at Mick's 281 Service. The pumps were also deconstructed onsite and taken to their final resting place.

Owner Kenny Thompson's grandkids sought to capitalize on the curious passersby and set up a lemonade stand outside.
