Dockter charged with corruption of a minor

Sydney Dockter, 25, has been charged with corruption of a 15-year-old minor and with burglary of an apartment in New Rockford.

Late last year and early this year, Dockter was allegedly involved in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old male, identified as John Doe in court documents, and she has now been charged with corruption of a minor, a Class C felony.

Court documents say the victim admitted to law enforcement during a February 6 interview that he and Dockter had sexual intercourse on three occasions within the past two months.

Court documents further state that, “John Doe was able to provide specific information about what the Defendant’s bedroom looked like,” as well as an “identifying mark” – or tattoo – on her body.

Meanwhile, Dockter has also been charged with burglary and theft after allegedly breaking into an apartment in New Rockford on the morning of May 6, 2024.

Allegedly taken from the apartment were several thousand dollars worth of items, ranging from clothes to an Apple Macbook.

According to court documents, Dockter is also accused of stealing a projector, television, a cat fountain, food, a lamp and several lightbulbs.

“The property was later recovered from Sydney Dockter’s house in the City of New Rockford … Sydney’s brother identified that Sydney was missing from their house during the time the theft occurred,” states court documents.

Both the burglary and theft charges are Class C felonies, which carry a maximum sentence of five years’ imprisonment and/or a fine of $10,000.

Meanwhile, Dockter is also facing several felony charges out of Stutsman County for endangerment of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance.

Dockter is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
