Record crowd at Sheyenne Stampede

Hendrickson Park was hopping on Saturday, Aug. 17. The 4th Annual Sheyenne Stampede brought a record crowd to Eddy County for a day of entertainment.

Early that morning, three contestants fought for the 2025 Miss Sheyenne Stampede crown. Emily Ackerman of Jamestown, N.D. was crowned 2025 Miss Sheyenne Stampede.

The stampede brought in over 80 entries for the barrel racing event, as well as 12 ranch rodeo teams.

Bruner Angus Ranch took home first place in the ranch rodeo with a total of 184 points. On the barrel racing side of things, there were four different events – 1D, 2D, 3D and 4D. Julie Voigt took first in 1D and Ashley Everson placed first in 2D. In the 3D event, Sarah Crimmins and Peggy Holzer each tied for first, and Laura Walter brought home the top prize in 4D.

After the ranch rodeo commenced, country newcomer Jason Cross took to the stage as the opening act, and the Eli Young Band headlined the evening.
