Work continues on Sheyenne's Sinclair station renovation. Currently the exterior has been painted and trimmed and new windows installed.
Gavin Brown reports "we've replaced the fascia and now need to paint it along with the soffit."
Over the weekend Gavin had his work crew – consisting of his parents, two sisters, brother-in-law and girlfriend – on hand to tackle the removal of three layers of shingles that appeared to be nailed on to survive a tornado. Gavin commented that "it's been a nightmare " to accomplish.
Next will be a new roof he has specifically selected to complement this historical undertaking.
Gavin expressed gratitude for all the donations that have come in to help make this happen. However, many more are needed for additional materials to continue the work.
Fortunately all of the talented labor has been donated.
Depending on future donations, his plans are to start on the interior and work on that over the winter.
