On Saturday, Sept. 28, James River Ag held their annual pumpkin growing contest. Taylor Koepplin entered two pumpkins and earned first place with a 473 pound pumpkin, and second place with a 399 pound pumpkin. Chris Bittmann finished in third place with a pumpkin that weighed 268 pounds.
