Halloween Happenings 2024

It's Spooky Season! And that means plenty of unique events going on in New Rockford to enjoy this Halloween.

As always, there will be Trunk or Treat hosted by the New Rockford Lions Club on the evening of October 31, beginning at 5 p.m. and going until 7 p.m.

Unlike previous years, however, this year's Trunk or Treat will be taking place inside the Brown Memorial Auditorium, rather than Centennial Park.

Meanwhile, Central Pharmacy in New Rockford will also be open on Thursday, Oct. 31 for any kids trick-or-treating around town, so be sure to stop in before they close for the evening at 5:30 p.m.

Flair Boutique in New Rockford will be staying open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Halloween night, and will also be handing out candy to any trick-or-treaters, in addition to keeping their coffee shop and boutique open for shopping or a quick cup of brew.

And even after Halloween night, be sure to keep those Halloween costumes handy for the weekend!

Wonder Lanes Bowling Alley will be hosting their "Scary Strikes" Halloween party on Friday, Nov. 1 from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Be sure to wear your costume while bowling, and the best dressed contest winners will be announced at 7 p.m.

There will also be a "horrible" hour at the bar from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m., and kids 12 and under will get to bowl games of "monster factory" for free all day long!

Other businesses celebrating Halloween include Hanson's Bar in New Rockford, which will begin their Halloween celebrations on Thursday, Oct. 31 through Saturday, Nov. 2.

Any patrons in costume that purchase a drink will get their second drink on the house, so be sure to stop in at Hanson's Bar this Halloween.

Also on Saturday, Nov. 2, Buck-It's Bar will begin their Halloween festivities at 7 p.m., beginning with the "Field and Stream" raffles, which will occur once every hour. The bigger crowd, the more the raffles – with the winners taking home food and booze.

And of course, there will be a costume contest at midnight. There will be three judging categories: best individual costume, best couple costume and best group costume.
