Want a chance to win some holiday spending cash? The New Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce is giving away a grand, and all you have to do to win is shop local!
The Jolly Jingle promotion begins today, Nov. 18, and runs through Sunday, Dec. 15. For every purchase of $10 or more made at a participating New Rockford business, the purchaser will receive an entry into the Jolly Jingle drawing. Simply fill out the slip with your name and phone number and deposit it into that business's entry box.
Participating businesses include Central Pharmacy, Miller's Fresh Foods, Flair Boutique, Transcript Publishing, Hideaway Hair Salon, Re-Imagine Boutique, Flower Scent-R, Do it Best Hardware, NAPA Auto Parts, CenDak Cooperative, Bakers Dozen, Cash & Carry Lumber, Rockford Cafe, New Rockford Eagles Club, Positive Vibes Apparel, Styles by Glenda and Wonder Lanes.
Starting Nov. 27, each participating business is designated a day to draw a winner from their entry box. That way, the more local places you shop, the more opportunities you have to win. Each winner receives $25 in Chamber bucks.
Shoppers will again get double entries during Winterfest, New Rockford's hometown holiday shopping event. Receive two entries for every purchase of $10 or more at participating businesses from Monday, Dec. 2 to Sunday, Dec. 8.
Saturday, Dec. 7 is the annual Santa Day event. There will be a kids carnival sponsored by the New Rockford Lions Club and visits with Santa at the Brown Memorial from 2-4 p.m. More details to come in the Transcript's special Winterfest issue on Dec. 2.
All Jolly Jingle entries will be collected on Monday, Dec. 16, and a drawing will be held that day at the Transcript office for the remaining $500 in Chamber bucks. Twelve $25 and two $100 gift certificates will be given away.
Local businesses participating in the Jolly Jingle promotion will have signs in their windows or doors and holiday-themed entry boxes on their front counter to indicate their participation. The list of business drawing dates will be published in the Nov. 25 edition.
