Margie Anderson and Patti Larson attended the celebration of life reception at the New Rockford Golf Club after gravesite services for Scott Turcotte on Monday. Sheyenne sends condolences to Dick and Mary Ellen Turcotte and their family. Mauritz Carlson stopped at the Larson farm on Sunday. He asked for Joanna's help translating his grandmother's letters handwritten in Swedish. Joanna will get in touch with someone who can do it.

Flickertail Wind, LLC's new office open house on Thursday was attended by several Sheyenne area residents. Four representatives from PRC Wind of Minneapolis were on hand to visit, answer questions and describe the display boards that lay out the time line and process of mapping. Hors d'oeuvres, cake and refreshments were served in the lobby of City Hall in New Rockford.

Corn harvest had another nice weather week.

Joanna Larson attended the baby shower hosted by Emma Myhre at the home of Alyson Myhre on Saturday morning. Sheyenne community looks forward to welcoming Gretchen and Keegan's baby due in December.

A big Sheyenne welcome to baby girl Oaklynn Bachmeier, born last week to Andy and Amy!

Barb Eversvik joined Sheyenne quilters, Bonnie Deegan, LaRhae Dodds, Karen Birkeland, Randy Keller and Patti Larson on Wednesday, Nov. 6. They completed three quilts, got another tied and ready for binding and laid out some tops to be taken home for piecing together. It was great to have Barb's help. The group will quilt again on Wednesday, Dec. 4, if anyone is interested to join. Jan Loe and Pastor Jeff joined them for coffee afterward.

More dirt was moved and piled up last Friday as the water and sewer were hooked up to the new basement at 301 Pleasant Ave. MDU, Otter Tail and NDTC are also ready to hook up. By the weekend, only garage fittings were left to be completed before the house will be moved into place.

Sheyenne GRIT community meeting is this Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Sheyenne Senior Center. A taco bar will be served at noon with the meeting to follow.

Ian Gilley went on a work trip to Ann Arbor, Mich., where he attended an international symposium on nuclear technology. The University of Michigan hosted. Ian also spent a day visiting his aunt, uncle and cousins who live in Ann Arbor.

Bonnie Deegan, Jan and Steph Loe enjoyed noon lunch in Devils Lake following worship at Calvary Lutheran Church in Oberon on Sunday.

Patti Clifton kept a medical appointment on Monday at the Carrington Health Center New Rockford Clinic.

Eddy County VFW Auxiliary hosted a turkey and all the trimmings dinner for veterans in honor of their service. The supper was at the clubhouse in Sheyenne on Veterans Day, Monday evening.
