It was a beautiful day Monday, Nov. 18, and many Sheyenne residents were seen in New Rockford at the Vitalant Blood drive. Eunice Throlson again volunteered at the registration table.

The Eddy County Farmers Union annual meeting was held at the Eagles Club in New Rockford Tuesday evening, Nov. 19. Peter, Patti and Joanna Larson and Ian Gilley attended from Sheyenne. Resolutions and delegates for the state convention and other updates were part of the discussion facilitated by Jessica Haak from the Jamestown office.

When the winter switch turned on last Tuesday night, NR-Sheyenne School went to virtual learning on Wednesday. It was a good day to work from home.

Peter Larson, along with other directors and the manager of the CenDak board, attended a two-day meeting in Fargo, Nov. 21 and 22.

A baby shower for Alicia Arellano and Chance Brenno was held Saturday afternoon at the Sheyenne Senior Center. They are due early December.

First Lutheran Church council held a quick meeting after worship on Sunday. Later, the Christmas tree and nativity scene were put up. The Advent Wednesday night service will be at First Lutheran on Dec. 4, followed by fellowship over coffee and goodies; Dec. 11 at Grace Lutheran; and Dec. 18 at Grandfield Lutheran. The SOAM Sunday School Christmas program will be at First Lutheran Church on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 11:00 a.m. BBQs, chips and bars will be served following the program.

Sheyenne Community Quilters donated nine quilts to Share the Joy, to be distributed by First Lutheran Church, New Rockford. Patti Clifton was among friends and family who attended the Arellano/Brenno baby shower on Saturday afternoon at the Sheyenne Senior Center.

Saturday, Jan Loe had lunch and afternoon visiting with Linda Saporiti and Dale Christiansen, both from Rockford, Ill., at the home of Cliff and Lillian Johnson in Devils Lake. Again on Sunday, Jan and Stephanie Loe got together with Linda, Dale, Cliff and Lillian at the Johnson home for more visiting and lunch.
