Standing tall 125 years later

After 125 years, the Eddy County Courthouse still stands proudly over New Rockford and Eddy County.

Constructed in 1899, the historic building passed its 125th year of existence in 2024. And in November of 1985, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

According to NRHP documents the building's architect was M. E. Beebe, and its contractor was M.J. Moran. All these years later, the courthouse they built still has the same historic appearance both inside and out.

And as always, it still looks beautiful on a sunny winter day, as pictured above on Tuesday, Dec. 24.
