The kickoff to DPRCA's 2025 season is none other than a murder mystery dinner theatre. It's the classic "whodunit" with a Midwestern flair that will leave audiences in stitches.
Dine with Dwight and Mamie Van der Hogan, who are convinced they've won the $11 Million Pigeon Publishing Sweepstakes because the envelope said, "You are Guaranteed to be a Winner." They sell everything in Wisconsin, buy a yacht on credit (the check hasn't arrived yet?) and bring their crazy entourage to the New Rockford Golf Course & Event Center to hold a going away party for their Round the World Cheese Tour. Since they know no one in New Rockford to invite to their party, DPRCA has graciously offered to share their event with the Van der Hogans for a murderously fabulous combo bash.
The show is filled with familiar faces. Erin Greiner and Jon Johnson star as the Van der Hogans, Dwight and Mamie.
Nicky Spillene, the private detective posing as a journalist for "Cheese Aficionado" magazine, is brought to life by Elliott Schwab, while Emma Bennett is cast as Spillene's assistant, Tuesday Fulbright. Paige Thomas and Drew Relling round out the kooky cast of over-the-top characters.
Held at the New Rockford Golf Course & Event Center, the event features a four-course dinner of casual Midwestern fare. The entrée is your choice of a butter burger or lightly breaded cod hoagie, with appetizer, salad bar and dessert. Water and coffee are also provided.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for Happy Hour. Nosh on cheese curds and order a drink from the cash bar, then get seated before the show begins at 6:30 p.m.
The scenes take place during and throughout dinner, offering an immersive experience for guests. Everyone who correctly solves the case will get entered into a drawing for a prize.
With limited seating and just four performances, guests who don't want to miss this need to act fast! Feb. 14, 15, 21 and 22 are the dates, and tickets are $50 each for dinner and a show.
Tables of 4, 6 or 10 are available. Smaller parties will be seated together.
Book seats and make entree choices online at dprca.com or text (701) 399-9634.
